JR and Kara: Oakland Stadium Engagement Session

Back to back engagement sessions to start off April. After a lovely day in the Presidio the day before, I headed over to the Oakland Coliseum for another beautiful day with just the perfect overcast to shoot JR and Kara’s engagement photos. I don’t know about everyone else, but having an empty baseball stadium all to yourself is not my typical Monday. We had an amazing time shooting in a place that is so dear to the couple, especially Kara. This was another session that was incredibly easy to shoot because of the couple’s chemistry. Maybe I should make chemistry a requirement before agreeing to take on a client from now on. I loved that JR and Kara share my love for traveling, photography, and reclaimed wood. On a final note, I have to commend JR for being able to focus on the engagement shoot when his Kansas Jayhawks were due to play for the NCAA Championship in just a few hours. We ended the session watching the game with a bunch of fanatical KU fans and a big pot of home-made chili.
